![]() Right now, I personally struggle to choose 3 more specific colors with a splash from the others to avoid mana difficulties. ![]() For Conspiracy I definitely think that removing other types to favour one goes against the objective of the deck. I am tempted to say that you need Arcane Adaptation and Maskwood Nexus. I know it won't be a tier 1 but seems super fun! Also wondering if this deck needs to take a specific approach such as full recursion and things like that or just being a "good stuff" deck as 90% of the commander decks. I am looking at building a similar deck for duel commander. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Maskwood Nexus specifically- do you use it? How heavily do you rely on it, and do you try to rush it and its support onto the field or are you just happy when it shows up? What I want to ask fellow low-count Tribal players is: at what point does Nexus become more of a win-more than a build around? Is it worth investing slots to it and, to a lesser extent, cards like ] and ], and support for those cards (tutors, recursion, protection, etc), instead of slotting in more ramp, removal, or wincons? One card I did see would be a great help with consistency on that front as colors identity allows is ], since she can grab scarecrows from the bin as well, and doesn't rely on being granted Changeling status. One thing I noticed, though, is that if the Nexus is dealt with- countered, removed, stolen, what have you- then the above-mentioned blow-out cards can become kind of dead, though they still mostly have their uses and the other Changelings don't mind much, anyways. One card that I was very excited to add- as I'm sure any underrepresented Tribal player was- is ]. ] - Only thing better than blowing something up with a Heap Doll is blowing two things up.] - Almost always as good as a ] with Changelings on the board, and even if your Scarecrows get hit you can just cast them from the hand for more triggers.] - Unless I'm mistaken, creatures with Changeling fulfill all party requirements at once, so you get to tutor a card and play a 4MV spell for free?! Excellent.I do run some non-Changeling "Tribal Matters" creatures in the deck, like ] (gross, but she draws removal like a lightning rod instead of The King), ] as a kind of second ], and ] and ] for zero-cost triggers. It's always fun to see reactions to paying one mana to drop a ] on the board and blow up something expensive. Here is what I'm running, and it is a heavily artifact focused reaper king build.Hello r/EDH, I've been playing a ] five-color scarecrows/changelings deck recently it's always been one of my favorite legendary creatures and Scarecrows are such an underappreciated creature type. there is such a thing as too many: partially because you end up searching for and playing the same cards in the same order every game, but also the king gets value from lots of little creatures that are super jank, so cards that tutor one card to your hand is usually not as effective at a certain point in the king because the best option for you to tutor is a tiny scarecrow, when you could be running something that repeatedly reanimates your fragile scarecrows or draws cards and or gives your more, bigger value. for cuts, i think the easiest first cuts would be these: ], ], ], ], and ]. if you are behind your reanimation helps you get back in the game, but if you also focus on filling your grave through sac/self mill then your reanimation will still work when you are ahead. i personally prefer a more grave oriented sacrifice/reanimation route with the artifacts. counterspells and blink effects can only do so much for protection, and you have those in spades. Reaper King is so integral to your plan, if he doesn 't stick you end up shit out of luck.
